  • Lebron just doesn’t have the stories like Jordan does. We are playing in a softer era of the nba right now, and lebron is a gifted, huge athlete who still gets more foul calls than the point guards in the league. For me, GOAT is a qualitative title. Jordan knew he was the GOAT before he retired, lebron still feels like he’s fighting for it.

Can't even finish the video. Oh Jimmy, watch every game the 23's have ever played and you wouldn't utter them words again. I'm old and fortunate enough to have seen them both play live and one of them was a straight killer and another was a whinny girl. Shaq one time fouled Jordan hard and went to help him up and Jordan said "don't help me up, don't help anyone up, good foul". Meanwhile Lebron is crying in mid air. 6-0 he wouldn't allow losing. He made everyone better and led by example. Plus Charles Barkley will slap you if you compare Lebron to Jordan. Just a heads up.

Hank played for USC and then transfered to Loyola Marymount, in his best season there, he averaged 32.7 points and 13.7 rebounds, he was projected to be the first pick in the 1990 NBA draft, but unfortunately he died of heart issue.

  • He will never be the greatest. He only has a chance to be the all time points leader. Never the leader in assists, rebounds, steals, or blocks. I doubt he will ever win most championships, score anywhere near 100 points in a game, make the most game winning shots, or become the highest scorer and defensive player of the year in the same year. But he does invest a lot of money into his body and is dedicated so I hope it pays off for him and he becomes the all time points leader by playing 2-5 more years without injuries.

Shortened season, finals between an excellent western team (SAS - LAL) and a surprising eastern team (NYK - MIA) easy win for the 36 years old OG (Robinson - LBJ), teamed-up with a younger PF (Duncan - Davis)... • Also, LeBron does complain a lot; fair. But is there another player like him in today's game who gets as many missed calls as he does? With his size and frame, he handles much more than most of these guys. Players literally riding his back and/or bodying him when he's going into the basket, but he's so tough that he literally can score through it and refs often don't say shit. I hate how whiny LeBron is at times - that comment to RoCo in the Houston series was so damn out of pocket for someone with his penchant for complaints - but I can't help but think he has to be vocal or he wouldn't get nearly the number of calls he *should* get.

    sam stoutsam stout2 dögum síðan
  • The only thing I disagree with really is that the Heat don't have a superstar. I don't think you put up the numbers Jimmy did against the duo of James and AD and fall short of superstar status. If players can go in and out of superstar status - take guys like Westbrook and PG to name a couple - then this year, in these playoffs, and these Finals, Butler was a superstar, and will remain so until proven otherwise in my opinion.

  • I agree with the general points, but I don't think the defensive argument is close, at least as close as you seem to put it. Aside from the fact that a lower drating is better, it is by no means holistic enough to account for AD (or any other strong defensive player's) defensive impact. Lebron has been an exceptional defender this year, including throughout the playoffs, but AD was terrorizing teams and was integral to the overall defensive flexibility of the lakers. His rim protection literally could not have been better, was tasked with guarding Jimmy after he gave the lakers trouble, a shift marked the end for the heat. The defensive side of the argument is more than sound, although does not change the fact that the FMVP was deserved.

But people forget, MJ didn't make the finals until: His 7th season (6 if you don't count his injury), Scottie Pippen became an All-Star, and Phil Jackson as his Head Coach. Whereas LeBron took 2 teams that had no business in an NBA Finals: The 2007 Cavs team (4th season) featuring no other All-Star, and then the 2018 Cavs - where the other "All-Star" Kevin Love disappeared twice in the playoffs against the Pacers and Celtics. And of all the coaches he's had in his career, which one would even be considered a HOF coach, much less Top-10? Also, 4:14 - Defensive Rating is measured in reverse. The LOWER the DRTG the better. AD played better defense than LeBron, not the other way around.

All you can do is speak in generalizations and when you get called out - you deny every saying it just like that loser Mo Speights. "scottie pippen barley scored" - those are your exact words so slow ass moron. SP averaged 20 PPG during his prime, those are All-Star numbers and combined with his defense got him voted in the HOF and a Top 50 player. Of all LeBron's teammates only Wade could possible match Pippen. Bosh, Love, and Irving wouldn't even make the Top 100 list. AD - maybe is top 50 if he keeps it up. Sure, Dennis Rodman was a boards and defense guy - but those attributes were so great, it also got him in the HOF. DR led the league in Rebounds all 3 years with the Bulls. And LeBron didn't "literally" let the Heats win those 2 games. He averaged 34 points, 11.5 rebonds, and 7.5 assists in those losses - MVP numbers as it's almost identical to what Jordan averaged in the playoffs during Bull's championship run (but with 5 less rebounds per game).

The celtics choked imo and played a team that wanted it more and raptors were never gonna win again after kawhi left lol they just went back to being a good team nothing more nothing less not a championship team. Feels like yall trying to push this bron narrative imo. And if we gonna talk about the AD thing then lets do that if you watch the games then AD was putting it away early and bron finished them off usually how it went for 2 games but bron stepped up the last 3 games and made sure he got that fmvp but it was basically over after game 3 with is why people thought AD should get fmvp.

And sure enough, when the Clippers got eliminated, everybody started yelling: Lakers Champion. Now compare that to the team Jordan played for and the competition he had to go against. All titles are not worth the same. In 2001, Allen Iverson faced a much more (no exxageration) tougher competition than Lebron in 2007.
