The Fascinating World of Deep Mountain Lakes

14 sep 2020

This is a nature documentary, which leads us into the fascinating world of deep mountain lakes. We conquer ice palaces of unsuspected beauty. In the freezers, in which elves, fairies and mountain trolls once did their mischief, we move, using a special breathing technique and with special cameras in search of nocturnal hunters, whose eyes are equipped with residual light amplifying receptors.
A nature documentary, recorded in 2k-cinema format with precision cameras, such as super slow motion, time lapse, residual light and remote-controlled cams.

  • That first lake they showed @0:50 second mark - looks like a larger version of one here in Idaho I love to go to. It's altitude is a little over 8,100 feet (2,468 meters). Usually there are no people up there, or if there is, it's just 3 or 4 people total. I love to fish that lake, and I had a friend who scuba dived it. He told me it gets utterly black and super cold not too far down, so all of the fish stay nearer to the surface. Over the years, I've seen people fish that lake and they use sinkers that drop the bait too low, then as they reel it in, and get near the shallows, they reel in even faster. I use a bobber, and no weight on my line and catch fish all the time. I've had people come up to me and ask me what I am using, as they fished almost all day and didn't catch anything. Once I explained it to them, they would go back and change out their line and almost on the first throw catch a fish. So, if you like to fish high altitude lakes, you might try to remember how cold they can be and that the fish don't often swim down into the deeper, freezing, super dark waters : )

  • I thought this could be an awesome doc to watch while doing dishes and some daily cleaning I could still hear a nice narrator tell me about interesting things. That was wrong! Cause this channel choose to have *double* commercials and they are more than one minute long, one was 13 min(!?) so you need to sit next to the computer with dry hands and be ready to downclick the exaggerated commercial! Why so many, long and one after another commercial?! We know many making yt-videos with not even half of the commercials you got and they are rich enough already so just greedy and not necessary with 2-3 commercials after another. But maybe there´s only me that dislike this phenomen so much?!
