NEVER TOO SMALL 44sqm/452sqft Multi-purpose Small Apartment - Departamento Del Signo
Once a cramped, dark and fragmented space, this tiny 42sqm apartment in Buenos Aires was extensively re-designed by the talented team at Fallone. Unifying the separate kitchen, laundry and living room into one larger space and enlarging the only existing window to its maximum extent, creating a brighter, more spacious living space. The addition of a floor-ceiling storage unit with a built-in fold out bed and a central multi-purpose counter height table; maximises functionality for day to day use. Every finish and material has been meticulously chosen to create a simple aesthetic with a sense of continuity and warmth.

Quedó muy bueno! Felicitaciones
Shout out Hey Studio
Balkon...badkamer... slaapkamer... 👍 Salon vind ik niet geslaagd.👎
Given the constraints, good optimizations in general. It's prboably just me but pink tiles disgusting.
boooriiiing, they studied architecture and interior design for nothing
Excellent project - something I would totally go for in my apartment!
Trying to figure out where any food storage would be. 🤔The tall cupboards in the kitchen were just laundry/mops/etc from what I could tell. Do the residents just always eat out?
MI PAIS MI PAISSSS
Thank you
WTF that’s not even small I live in a 325 sq/ft apartment in Waikiki. GTFO
Yey! Glad to see some sth from my city :)
no lo puedo creeeeeeeeeeer VAMOS ARGENTINA EN MI CANAL PREFERIDOOOO
NAH COMO VAS A SACAR EL BIDET?.....
AGUANTE PALERMO WACHOOOOOOO
Interesting, but looks a lot smaller than it is..
Very well done!
Yeeeey, new video 🥳
genial!!!! 👏👏👏👏
Brilliant use of older/existing elements into modern design. Super functional, not at all pretentious. Just lovely...
This is a decent size for a one-bedroom apartment. It's nice, i would love to live here, but this is definitely can't really be considered a small space.
I ❤️ BA
Congratulations! Good job! Great video as well.
Hermoso!!!
Though this is a complete remodel these collaborators managed to maintain the best architectural features and the nostalgic sprit of the space. Hope to see more LATAM spaces on the channel. 😊
Always love these different design solutions. My only critique (with out knowing the objective of the client) is that seems a shame to lose the extra storage for that tiny murphy bed. I feel like that's a permanent solution for a temporary inconvenience like house guest.
Really nice. They should get a TV fixed under the pull out bed.
Nicely done
Finally Latin America. Great!
That wall papers is not only hideous, but too dark for a small space.
Architects must be the most irritating people to listen too. They are the politicians of the creative world.
Yaaad my country featured on this channel 😍😍😍😍 Also amazing design
Isn't there tv?
i love how they kept a lot the same but updated it- very sustainable
Nice but nothing special to make a video about
Serious question from someone looking at redesigning a small kitchen: what are they doing for ventilation? I don't see anything over the cooktop.
Layout looks good but I don't like the storage area in front of the sofa or the finish of the kitchen and I think the picture on the wall needs to make a bigger statement. Just my thoughts.
They both look like Messi
Can you please do an episode in CDMX? I've seen some awesome spaces there
This was great for someone who doesn't cook a lot, I wish there's an episode for this where the focal point of design is the kitchen.
@Елена К will check this for sure, thanks!
You'd better have a look at tiny houses, living big in a tiny house for example, many of them have generous amount of space dedicated to kitchen
then maybe this is not the right channel for you. Very few people would give up living space in a small apartment to have a bigger kitchen
ispast.info/losk/v-deo/q2p-cWmnr22wg5w.html You will love this one
Quedó super lindo y muy cálido.
Qué bonito lo dejaron, chicos!!!! Me encantó!!!!

I love the way the light bounces off the white wall.
they voice was so relaxing
The kitchen cabinets with glass are pretty horrible. The glass magnifies all the mess inside!
Beautiful!🤩🥰❤
ohhh that balcony is so lovely 😭
How do you charge
I don't know, my apartment is 42 sqm and seems to be much bigger that this one. Why the reclining section is so small? Why sitting on the couch you have to admire the wardrobe with a hidden bed? Does it look good to anybody? I have no idea what the budget was and how far could they go with changing the functionality of the spaces, but if there was a possibility for the bathroom and kitchen to swap places ... Who knows maybe that would give more opportunities. I wouldn't call it disaster, but its just not my taste. And Father, forgive them that plywood in the kitchen.
Love that kitchen!
I love that they kept the bedroom features much the same, but added the gorgeous wallpaper. It's such a cozy space yet full of personality, and the doors to the balcony are gorgeous!
Buenos Aires!!!!! Al instante lo reconocí!!
Wow the original layout was terrible, one of the only windows in the laundry room!
Really nice apartment, in a nice neighborhood. I could be happy there.
It's so nice to see an episode from my metro area! Some 50's - 80's Australian apts shown here had some similarities with the housing stock in Bs. As. from that time, and I would've loved to see how they could manage some of that style here. Loved it, will definitely save this vid for the future.
44sqm never too small 🤦♂️ is this video made by Americans?
One of my favorite parts of these videos is the space layout drawings of the before and after. Could you make a slide where it shows both? I like to think about the changes and compare them. You guys do an awesome job. Thank you for sharing your gift!
i m from indonesia...my house only 36 sqm...with 6 people ...i didnt and cant complained...because there s a lot of family dont have house or homeless
Beautiful apartment. So much more light brought in by this design.
There's lots to love in this apartment - the warmth of the wooden cupboards in the main area, the paint splashback, pink tiles in the bathroom, the wallpaper, the white tint on the windows, and the whole bathroom is great. It's a very well designed apartment that would be a pleasure to live in.
Super apartment - what a great job they did, improving the place a lot. Enjoyed the tour and description by the architects. Thank you!
Again... I speak my apartment into existence 🧘🏽♀️. This apartment is a dream❤️
Looks cheap. Sorry...
42sqm as a small living space.. That's standard houses in my country where families of different sizes "live" 😅
Not good guys. The placement of the furniture in the kitchen/living is weird. You spend a lot of time on the sofa facing the bottom of the folding bed. Traditional sofa bed instead and a normal table with chairs would be much better.
how i love the curving inwards drawer handle, so neat! this is a very beautiful space in a bustling city ♥
Buenísimo! felicitacioens desde Santiago
This is such a lovely piece! Would enjoy living there 10/10
Nice job, realy. But i have to say that Buenos Aires has a lot of habitacional problems, A LOT.
Design can turn small places into joyful places. Loved it!
It looks like a true home. I love it.
So clever and tasteful.
Very nice but where do they put the groceries?
The living space is kinda weird, I mean who would sit on sofa staring at Wardrobes.
I think this is a beautiful job - and the light issues are well-sorted. But I have a 48.5 sq m apartment [London]. I have a modern, well proportioned hall entrance, bedroom, bathroom & combined living space [balcony takes it to 50 sq m] within these parameters and with no need to do anything 'quirky'. Is there a minimum floor area below which specialised design is required?
It looks so great, what an awesome improvement! I do, however, wonder about entertainment options, since there doesn't seem to be any space for a TV or for a computer, apart from a smaller Notebook on the kitchen table.
good work, that place feels so peaceful
Where did you get the fold down bed?
what is the white handle on the wall under the upper kitchen cabinet?
The fridge isn't leveled 😅
Nice appartement but I would have used opaque Doors for the top kitchen units
This is so cute! Making me think what I can do in my 30sqm apartment lol
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Loved the bathroom 😍😍😍😍😍, I also really liked the view from the bed, that balcony is small but lovely to have. I didn't appreciate the glass fronted kitchen cupboards, you could see the huge mess inside them, personally that would drive me nuts. Glad that they could enlarge the window and bring in more natural light. I also really like the mix of flooring in the apartment. I do think that if they had removed the old cupboards in the bedroom and reconfigured them they would have been able to get more storage out of them. But all in all great job on a small footprint.
So many inspirational ideas in this one. It has given me many ideas that one day I may use .
Beautiful Design! Especially the Pink tiles in the bathroom! 😍
As soon as I saw the first few seconds of street view, I knew this was in South America ♥️♥️♥️
Those pink tiles are gorgeous 💖
as soon as the first image from the street was shown i knew it was my city. This was really nice and prety common to see in the appartments of young people living in Buenos Aires. No big renovations, just enough to make the space feel fresh and new again without compromising the budget. I love to hear some of the things the arquitects and designers choose to achieve a beautiful result with cheaper materials
Very clever design. Luv the kitchen especially the top glass cabinet doors. The small bathroom is nice! A bit disappointed with the wall paper design though. Felt that a floral pinkish wall paper will suit the girls better.
Nice use of space and simple finishes.
Please remove the paintings on the floor, it gives me anxiety..
Well done. Nice presentation.
