    • How interesting that people being unable to deal with “the whole category (of problems) at one time” can’t “make sacrifices in the present so the future is better” so I hope they will practice suffering joyously, and try to listen, rather than focusing on just happiness with this presentation.

    • @48956l I appreciate your point about being disengenous. Not saying the creator was but that is different than conflict of interest. If the creator is being disengenous, they are hiding their true intentions behind a veil of altruism. You can make that argument and it would be difficult to prove you or me right without response from the creator. All positive actions taken on a video such as saves or likes and even comments benefit the creator in the YT algorithm. Understood the uploader did not "Create" the content. But they did "Curate" the content which is valuable in itself. It saves people time so that they don't have to search through each video and page themselves because someone else has done the work for them. Libraries, Amazon, ISpast itself, all are curators and not creators. These are some of the most valuable places or companies of all time. And all they do is curate. Again, I agree that there is no need to be disengenous and that they can be honest im their asks for support. But not every creator or individual feel good or confident making that kind of ask, so they say it in another way that seems, again, disengenous. I probably would not have felt compelled to question you if your comment was less, "you're pathetic for asking" and more "you could just ask for support and not hide it or seem fake". I appreciate the response and thought you gave it. Better than writing to people who try to dismiss with catchphrases and thoughtless remarks. 🤙

    • @mjl That's an entirely different conversation, which I'm happy to have, but please acknowledge that OP is in fact a conflict of interest. My issue with it, is that the creator made it sound like they were only attempting to help you find the video later, this isn't true and is disingenuous. There are multiple ways to find the video later that is not beneficial to the creator, none of which were listed. One is free to pick whichever way they please, but when the creator acts as if they're trying to help you, and instead only offers actions that helps them, that's disingenuous. I mean for gods sakes, they recommended you like the video to find it later. You'd have to jump through a bunch of ISpast UI to find your liked videos, and then scroll to find this one in particular. If you simply bookmark this video, you can search for it. The only reason it wasn't mentioned by the creator was because it doesn't benefit the creator. I'm not saying the creator should or should not benefit (and actually I will say this creator should not benefit because all they're doing is reposting others' material), I'm just saying if they're trying to get you to interact with their video, say that, rather than lying to make it sound like they care about your ability to find the video later.

  • Peterson seems to have a privileged middle school boy's understanding of how the 1% accumulated their power and wealth. He seems to believe the 1% were born poor, got jobs, and saved their money up over the years! Lol! No, simpleton, they were born into wealthy families who rose to power through oppression (read Howard Zinn's history rather than Mitch McConnell's history). MLK understood that protests are necessary to raise consciousness. Does Peterson think the Civil rights movement was just a bunch of trendy idiots trying to intervene in a system that works?

  • Sometimes our demons call us to leave home like the demons that drove the prodigal son to squander his inheritance on riotous living. Talk about instant gratification. It took poverty and suffering to draw him back home to the father where he could move forward in life. Towards a meaningful life that comes only with delayed gratification. Not on our own but empowered by the grace of God that enables us to do what is right, wholesome, and good. Who and what motivates us is vital to where we will go and do and accomplish in life. Demons or the Holy Spirit. It's a constant battle also known as spiritual warfare. For our warfare is not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. IN OUR MINDS. That is where the battle is.

  • What can we do in times like these, when the world seems to be falling apart beyond our control? The answer depends on one thing: Whether or not you have accepted The Lord Jesus Christ. If you already have, then we must do what we are called to do as Christians and be a light to the world, preach the gospel, and put our faith solely in The Lord. If you have not accepted The Lord Jesus Christ, then you must turn from your sins, and turn to Him instead. The Bible says in 1st John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." And in Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Not every path leads to God, remember that. There is only one way. Jesus said in John 14:6: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." What must one do to be saved? Repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as Lord, and believe in Him and that God raised Him from the dead. Put your faith in Him for your salvation. Do not put faith in your own works, or in your own righteousness, for it is written, our own righteousness is as but filthy rags before God. There is nothing we can do to save ourselves. Only The Lord Jesus Christ can do that.

  • around 18min the guy talks about something that resembles ¨the shark in the tank¨ theory, I simply hate that, this is mambo jambo to try and validate meritocracy, which is an illusion in countries like US, but I could bet that he is probably analyzing just income and overall monetary values which does not define life success at all, just because someone doesn't get richer it is not a sign that this person failed, maybe those kids had a happy childhood and are not so desperate to earn money to help their poor family members and had the freedom to have hobbies and relationships that fulfills them. So I don't agree with him at all.

Gates wants to eliminate people, apparently, you missed the news that many African nations have barred him because of his fatal vaccines. Most wealthy people do so very little until it's never heard of, it outweighs their philanthropy. Maybe JP Morgan? That's why "it's harder for a rich man to get into heaven. Yet here he suggests that if everyone makes sacrifices and also follows their passions and dreams they will be fulfilled. Yet in the other video he says women have to work life out (in terms of family and children) before they are 35 (suggesting he assumes all women want children) or else they are fucked. How are they supposed to do all those things? They don't often go together. He seems to contradict himself.

In the issue of poverty what he is talking about is his limited experience, perhaps his definition of poverty should be questioned. right now some people are facing illness, predatory policing and judicial activity that are larger than individual "responsibility" for example if there are more police in your community, there will be more crime (as judged by arrests) and this increase in arrests will be met with increase in police. 45% HIV patients belong to one group, and no vaccine is in sight I wish he would discuss his opinions with those capable of dissenting, not just people who share his limited experience.
