  • As a latin american, i saw a lot of nature documentaries with his voice... his accent... his wisdom... made me search for his name. Now i know who he is. Now I just want to see every corner of the world through his words. To look at him at his age, makes me think that i just want to keep hearing from David, as much as i can, as much as he lives, the wonders of nature.

  • David Attenborough & Jacque Fresco are the only two genuine scientists I know of. They're not patriotic, religious, political or opinionated. They're dedication to the truth as a means of identifying & understanding reality is unsurpassed. And I have complete respect for them in risking their reputation in their 90's by challenging the way we live on this planet. We should be backing them up. *_"Anyone who believes in indefinite growth upon a physically finite planet is either mad, or an economist"_* - Sir David Attenborough *_"People do the most desperate things to stay alive. The day we move beyond money is the day we learn to take care of each other instead"_* - Jacque Fresco

  • David Attenborough, what are the, not much talked about, carbon foot prints of waged wars, standing armies and the necessary repair of the destruction, caused by them? For example, the US military alone: In addition, due to the obscene extremes of wealth and poverty, the majority who are scraping by, on next to nothing, don't have the resources nor education to think of tomorrow, when today is uncertain. On the other end of the spectrum, energy and materials are devoured in blatant, uncharitable and life-choking excess. I can hear them now, calling for a cleaner war, to keep the status quo! If we don't hesitate to kill another with a bullet, it's hard to imagine we'd stop doing so, by suddenly switching to less dangerous emissions. Perhaps peace based on justice would go a longer way to help our planet!

Lifestyle? If anyone has any information on this I would gladly appreciate it.

Clear and present evolutionary evidence that the assumption of our inability to work together is wrong, even in light of our past failures.

  • I applaud you Mister Attenborough, for your life's work in the heart of what gives us life, the natural world. However, you seem a little lackadaisical on the true problems of humanity. Our inventions, for instance. I don't care whether you you were knighted or not, how much money you have, it's what's inside your mind that counts in the end. Your understanding of the planet, and humanities existence in the grand scheme of things, and our impact on this body of minerals with all the right ingredients to support life. Maybe you do. Just wondering if your fame and fortune has clouded your vision of what's causing life's demise on this planet. Maybe you haven't, but based on this interview, I'm left a little uneasy.

  • David has had phenomenal luck in life. I am not suggesting that he hasn't worked hard, that is not what I am talking about here. David has found himself in demand when the average person during their later years is retired and cast aside. Demand as an authority on Nature and a spokesperson for Nature. This has kept him as sharp as a tack, engaged and given him a purpose in his later years. The average human does not have that luck. He has also been gifted with good health late into life. These are what one admires about him and I wish for myself that I have that luck too.

    Mark KingstonMark KingstonÁri síðan
    • The average person doesn't write books, publish documentaries, and drive discussion. People want to retire, and then complain that they are not needed. Look at any person in Attenborough's case, and you'd notice that they are intellectual giants putting out ideas we either want or have to listen to. From Jane Goodall, to Noam Chomsky, to Tomas Sowel. If you want to be needed by society at an age where health is failing you, you must invest in your brain and make sure to always create knowledge and drive discussion
