Air fryers can be great for many things, but how about meats? Today I test every meat I have by cooking 100% with the air fryer. Some of the meat are so good that it got me by surprised. Others not so much.

  • Great video!! The air fryer is the way to go. Did you know, you can finely chop vegetables such as potato and pumpkin and place it under the tray? So when you cook your steak the juices drip down into the veggies and cook them. Then, while your meat is resting, place the veggies onto the tray and let them fry for a further 10 minutes. Will taste like a Sunday roast 🙏🙌

  • Best thing for steaks in the air fryer is to use a steak that is frozen. It allows you to minimize the gradient of the well done zones, and still be able to have a medium/rare inside. Bonus is that the extra time you get to cook the inside of the steak to reach the temperature you desire, you get more time to create a crust on the outside. That applies to the fat caps as well, depending on how you time it you can get really melty fat caps with a crunchy crust, and the desired temp. Probably shouldn’t do it on 400 degrees, but I’m just speaking from personal experience, and I’m not an expert at cooking at all, just happens I’m a fan of making food in these devices. Also, this does not translate to well done steaks very well, the crust burns way before you get a solid well done temperature. Great content though, definitely subscribed now. I like the narration, and the objective stance you take when it doesn’t work out. The art style and recipes are very nice too. Awesome job!

  • Best use for a air-fryer, bringing a meat up to temp for a reverse sear. As an air-fryer is just a convection oven with an extra powerful fan, it gets the meat up to temp and dries the surface off.

I guess the air flow scoops it up and throws it off the burger, anybody else run into this?

Producing a single amazing steak isn't the same thing as doing 100 a night organising a kitchen front of house etc. I think guga would make a great experimental chef (or ISpast star) but I don't know if he could run a restaurant. They aren't the same skill.

  • Airfryer is completely life-changing. For the steak I would've well oiled it with the seasoning after taking out of the fridge just like french fries, or cut it small enough for a cast iron surface to preheat/seer it. You can make the Airfrier work with almost anything with a bit of imagination. My favorite thing these days is garlic motzorella bread with a bit of fresh parsley & thyme. No need to pre-bake.
