  • What stands out to me is the sprint/sled between Fraser and Kwant, obviously. But what I don't know, is what exactly is the finish line? It looked like to me that Kwant stepped OVER the red line, onto the GREEN first. But if they score it by whomever touches the RED line with their foot, first, then Kwantz blew it. I think he has Fraser if he would have planted his forward foot sooner. It still amazes me that a person with Fraser's body type that he could win a sprint against those others... it just shows how good he really is.

    JimLJimL3 mánuðum síðan
    • I did the math, if they were only going 10mph 0.4 seconds is seven feet. If they were going 22mph like DK Metcalf in last night's Seahawks game they would have been covering over 30 feet a second or about a 13.5 foot gap.

      Harry MoorehouseHarry Moorehouse3 mánuðum síðan
    • @Harry Moorehouse yeah lets call BS to physics, that always works out well... Never said she did anything illegal. I just think it’s a shame that they allow the athletes to do the movements in another way than they are intended in normal training.

      Mikael HansenMikael Hansen3 mánuðum síðan
    • @Mikael Hansen BS! She would've got called up on that, if it was not allowed. She nailed it! Like I said, it's in the glutes.

      Harry MoorehouseHarry Moorehouse3 mánuðum síðan
    • Not really. By lifting it the area of contact is reduced and this reduces the friction. Furthermore by lifting it the weigh which generates friction is reduced. So she just game the movement. I think it’s a shame. Just like the slam balls turned into ground to overhead instead of a slam. It’s not the intended movement.

    Chelsea RoganChelsea Rogan3 mánuðum síðan

      swdhjswdhj3 mánuðum síðan

    A RogerA Roger3 mánuðum síðan
    • @A Roger think about it, with the Kettlebell/Lunge workout, Tia made the decision to shorten the transition time by dropping the Kettlebells right in front of her, when the men went, 3/5s of the competitors did it. Additionally, there is nothing saying this information wasn't being exchange between training partners in between heats when the games were larger. You just see it now.

      Sorin NicaSorin Nica2 mánuðum síðan
    • @JimL On their way back, they ran 100 yards or 92 ish meters in 15 ish seconds. That's about 22 km/h which is indeed significantly slower than the 36-45 km/h required for traversing 4-5 m in 4/10th of a second. At that speed, 4/10ths of a second are "only" 2.5 m which could be the difference between a leading and a trailing leg for a taller guy like Kwant at such a long stride.

      JackFouJackFou3 mánuðum síðan
    • @JimL I believe you are wrong. If you look closely, they both had chips on their left legs. If you slow it to 0,25x speed the difference between left legs crossing the finish line is almost 2 full seconds. The BS about this is that there even is a chip.. Doesn't make any sense.. It should have come to the digital photo finish decision..
