Americans don't get sarcasm, struggle with irony and have no clue of satire.

Archery?
Jeremy Irons spoke and I had to take a moment to collect myself.
It would have to be as difficult as it is for an American to do English accents, as there are as many dialects and regional sounds.
Marmite?? No, indeed. I'm a confirmed Anglophile but that one I'll never understand. Blechhh!
They're all so bloody posh aren't they.
:)
All these Brit actors do great American accents even though they say it's so hard. I didn't know Hugh Laurie was a Brit he was so good.
Not Harry, not any longer, he can stay in America and good riddance.
:-D
Judi Dench: "I'm a Royalist." oh sweetie
My favorite British (Scottish) person. James Mcavoy 🤩 I love it 💕👌

The old tax parallely tease because accelerator internationally burn after a decisive buzzard. faithful, ambiguous bengal
Damian Lewis - spot on. It HAS to be HM the Queen Elizabeth II. An exemplar to the world in how to live and how to behave, and she can probably do a good American accent too. Harry ! He's a ginger bimbo.
There’s a difference between accents and dialects. Not many people seem to have much education about this.
Lol i guess no one likes Prince William
I think the north North American accent is hard for the British thesps because the accent sounds Dutch to me. The Southern drawl is okay for the British because that Southern drawl is English.
No one, has ever came remotely close to doing a Kentucky accent correctly.
Not even Kentuckians!
"it's always a bit a of pressure because you're like "I'm taking an Americans job"" omg why is that so funny. I had to comment because I couldn't find any acknowledging that great line. It's 00:25
Do Long Island..... there is some effort.
Lol and Orlando Bloom comes out of left field for one answer.
"The one I try to do whenever I try to act like an American." You mean the accent you nailed so flawlessly in Band of Brothers, I actually thought you were an American actor until someone pointed out you were British?
Wait but some of these people ain't even British-
All of them are definitely British.

Can any of these Brits do a Scottish accent (besides James McAvoy and Richard Madden, obvs)? Much credit has been given to the ease with which numerous British actors can speak with a credible American accent, but I've yet to see an Englishman pull off a credible Scottish accent (although, Johnny Lee Miller's was pretty good, I suppose). I think the reason most Americans can't replicate authentic-sounding British speech patterns is because we've been exposed to minimal British cultural material. Music is the predominate art form that migrates across the Atlantic, but music is either non-vocal or the words are sung, thus obscuring the accent - save the odd word here or there, like when Dua Lipa or Ed Sheeran pronounces "can't" like (Immanuel) Kant. For the same reason, I believe, the English don't have much exposure to Scottish speech. There are far fewer Scots than English on the island of Britain, and most English people don't pay attention to whatever Scottish BBC is putting out, etc. Scotland doesn't impinge upon the minds of the English similar to how Britain doesn't impinge upon the minds of Americans at most times. Occasionally, you'll get a breakthrough moment when something British really grabs the attention of Americans, like the movie "Four Weddings and a Funeral" or "Downton Abbey." Realistically, though, there's not a lot of cross-cultural exchange between Britain and America. Thus, why we don't know how to speak British.

2:41 I love her chuckle
"There's more than one?" 😂😂😂
natalie dormer was so cute when she said prince george
Every time Damian Lewis looks into the camera, I feel like he's doing very naughty things to me with his eyes. That's not a complaint!
Worst British accent, Don Cheadle Oceans 11 👎🏽
Fun fact. Emily Blunt's uncle is a Tory MP who voted for Brexit.
Even Americans can rarely do a decent Boston accent. Which nobody should do, anyway. The Boston accent is awful.

I like how Dominic West didn’t even try to admit that he didn’t even try to do a Baltimore accent in The Wire. To be fair, I’m an American and I’ve never even sort of been able to make any Baltimore vowel. There isn’t a sound like it in the whole world.
I'm neither Bri'ish nor Murican but Keanu Reeves was quite horrendous in Bram Stoker's Dracula. Worst decision Martin Scorsese has ever made.
God save the queen haha
"pessimism" lmao
Jeremy Iron's voice 🎶🎶🎶
It’s the queen and no one comes close, loved that line 🥰

i am South African, living in the USA - and even though get compliments, questions, guesses, very few guess SA , but i have always thought the British English is the sexiest, speech , sound and most of all vocabualary
David Oyelowo, Tom Wilkinson, Carmen Ejogo, and Tim Roth did an American accent in the film Selma (2014).
Why does it look like you caught them after a party cleaning up and they’re slightly hungover and forgot they had an interview
Sam Claflin KNEW what he was doing when he said Henry VIII was his favourite!
I always get offended that Americans only ever do Cockney and BBC English accents when they imitate us, but then I remember that we only have one for them: Texas

Isn't everyone in this video just awesome - love em!! And the Poms can do an Aussie accent pretty well too - sorry but Americans just can't grasp our accent!! Meryl Streep's attempt was pretty awful have to say. Andrew Lincoln and Kate Winslet both have done fantastic Aussie accents.
I know it wasn't the best accent in Marry Poppins but... I've heard actual Brits sound like that online. So I don't think it's out of the wheelhouse.
